Dear OA Parents of Current and Future High School Students,
Please take a look at the orientations that the Cypress College Dual Enrollment department has shared with the students. We would like to let you know that the students were informed and we would appreciate it if you can remind them to be present on their schedule date(s).
For Incoming 9th Grade only
Hello, 8th graders!
Next year, you will all be taking a semester of health and a semester of Careers, Finance, Technology.
Part of the CFT class is an embedded Dual Enrollment class (Counseling 140) that is taught by a Cypress College instructor. This is an introductory level class, which then allows you to sign up for other Dual Enrollment courses during your high school career.
In order to be enrolled and get Dual Enrollment credit, you will need to follow the Cypress College application/registration process.
Your process will begin with an orientation workshop, which is detailed on the flyer attached below. It will be on Thursday, April 15th at 5:00 PM. Your parents are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions or concerns, please use the Dual Enrollment Virtual Front Desk (flyer also attached)and Cypress College staff will be there to assist you.
